Indonesian Children Meet New Friends! (Clue: They Are Not From Indonesia!)

Some time ago, we had a chance to welcome our new friends from the U.S.A. and the Faroe Islands to Indonesia. They came to explore some parts of Indonesia. They also came to share and teach the children of "Be Kind" House in Cikarang and Oepoli, Kupang. Not only teaching, but they also prepared several activities to play with the children.

Because the condition of meeting in person is possible, we decided to hold the meeting at the "Be Kind" library. The children were so excited to see some new foreign people. We started by introducing the guests' names and their countries. And then, the children take turns presenting their names and age. After that, we watched a video and did some art and craft together.

We did an online meeting with the "Be Kind" House children at Oepoli, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. This meeting was their first time to see people outside of Indonesia. They were a bit shy at first, but as we started to know each other's names, they laughed and finally enjoyed the meeting.

The children felt inspired when they saw these new friends from the U.S.A. and the Faroe Islands. There began to realize that some people outside of Indonesia have different skin tones and hair colors. It was an exciting moment for them to interact with these new friends.

This meeting also motivated the children to learn English more. They can understand better now that English can open many opportunities, and they can meet many people from around the world.

Let's continue to inspire Indonesian children together with Kehidupan Indonesia. Let's go!
